Offering Choices to Strengthen Our Voices

Workplace Violence Prevention Plan

At Williams Unified School District (WUSD), we are committed to fostering a safe and respectful working environment for all employees. Our Workplace Violence Prevention Plan outlines our policies, procedures, and resources to ensure that everyone feels secure and protected while performing their duties.

What is Workplace Violence?

Workplace violence includes any act or threat of physical violence, harassment, intimidation, or other disruptive behavior that occurs in a work setting. At WUSD, we take these matters seriously and work proactively to prevent incidents.

Key Components of the Plan:

  • Prevention Strategies: Guidelines and practices designed to reduce the risk of violence.
  • Reporting Procedures: Clear steps for reporting any incidents of workplace violence or concerns.
  • Emergency Response: Protocols for responding to and managing violent situations, including contact details for security and emergency services.
  • Employee Support: Resources for affected employees, such as counseling and conflict resolution services.
  • Training Programs: Educational initiatives aimed at helping employees identify warning signs and respond appropriately to potential violence.
